What is Lipo-Light?
Lipo-Light is the latest body sculpting treatment available. Using the power of Light Therapy, Lipo-Light is the natural and healthy way to inch-loss. Each treatment takes less than half an hour and is non-invasive, painless and relaxing.
Lipo-Light triggers lipolysis in fat cells (adipocytes) which cause fatty acids to be broken down and released with no damage to surrounding nerve endings and other cells. Lipo-Light stimulates fibroblasts, strengthening the collagen and elastin fibres to tone and tighten the skin.
How does it work?
When energy is required by the body, the brain sends signals to the adipose cells to break down the stored fat, a process called lypolysis. During this process, free fatty acids are released into the bloodstream and circulate throughout the body.
LED Light Therapy causes fat cell membranes to lose their round shape by changing the permeability of the cell. This alteration of the cell chemistry triggers the release of an enzyme (lipase) which can break the triglyceride molecules down into fatty acids and glycerol molecules which are now small enough to pass through the pores of the cell wall.
This natural process causes triglycerides to be released from the fat cell which then travel into the interstitial tissue from where they are picked up by the lymphatic system for transportation throughout the body for use as an energy source. The light therapy also stimulates the body's lymphatic system which helps the released fat drain away more efficiently resulting in inch loss in those areas where the treatment is focused.
Lipo-Light can deliver effective results in just one treatment. However, sustained results take place when continued LED Light Therapy is used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise regime.
