How does Botox work?
The Botox® or the wrinkle relaxing product is injected into the target areas by a series of tiny injections which are almost pain free. It reversibly softens the treated muscles responsible for creating particular lines and wrinkles. This causes the muscles to relax reducing the appearance of the lines and wrinkles. However, only the muscles injected are relaxed, enabling the surrounding muscles to function as normal allowing facial expressions to continue but with fewer lines and wrinkles giving a younger, fresher, more youthful appearance.
How long does the Botox treatment take?
Each treatment of Botox typically takes between fifteen to twenty minutes, depending on the number of areas you wish to have treated.
What are the results of Botox treatment?
Botox® usually takes between three and seven days to start to take effect. The full result of treatment will be seen after two weeks.
Results can be expected to last for around 3-4 months in the first year of use and for longer periods thereafter.
